The CE52SR2 is a 52” IP66 rated “Sun Readable” display for use in high ambient light environments where the display may also be exposed to water, oil or other substances which would inhibit the operation of a standard display. Modifications to the LCD panel allow light falling naturally onto the display to be reflected back towards the viewer, increasing the brightness of the panel in line with ambient lighting conditions. The display utilises a standard backlight, which in the absence of ambient light creates a screen brightness of 500cd/m. However, as increasing levels of ambient light impact on the LCD the brightness of the panel increases to in excess of 1000cd/m with no increase in power consumption!
