Warranty Terms & Conditions
SANYO Coverplus Warranty enhances the standard warranty by provision of a loan projector in the event of a failure.
The following conditions apply:
1) The Coverplus warranty must have been purchased within 30 days of the purchase of the projector to which it relates.
2) The Coverplus warranty is active only when the Customer or their supplier has sent the completed registration form with the product details to the SANYO Guarantees Dept and receipt of that registration has been acknowledged.
3) A valid Coverplus Warranty Registration Number must be quoted, together with the projector model and serial number when requesting Coverplus warranty service.
4) A loan unit will be made available to the customer on request only subject to SANYO determining that the fault is likely to be due to a defect in materials or workmanship. The loan unit will be of a similar but not necessarily identical type or specification to the faulty unit.
5) The provision of a loan projector does not guarantee that the potentially faulty unit will be repaired under warranty.
6) Delivery of the loan unit will normally be on the next working day following the day that the initial call is received provided that the request has been logged and fully processed before 2PM on that day. SANYO will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that the replacement projector is delivered the following working day (Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 5:00PM excluding Bank Holidays). SANYO shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss, consequential or otherwise caused by a delay in the performance of this service.
Additional conditions in respect of the loan unit & its use
Under the terms of the Coverplus warranty, the customer is entitled to the use of a loan projector during the period in which their own projector is away for genuine warranty repair. The loan equipment and any accessories are provided to the customer on the understanding the customer accepts full responsibility for their safekeeping, and that the loan equipment shall be returned in the same condition as when received.
Use of the loan projector is only permitted during the time that the faulty projector is away for repair. The loan projector must be made available for collection as soon as notification is given to the customer that the faulty unit is repaired. A reasonable period of two working days may be granted to allow for an equipment change over in a fixed installation but any extension of this period may be subject to a daily rental charge for each day or part thereof in line with rates applicable to the SANYO Cross Hire Service.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that all reasonable checks have been made to ensure that the faulty projector does not exhibit a problem that could have been remedied by the user i.e. non warranty faults such as a cleaning, faulty lamp, blocked filters etc. SANYO or its authorised agent reserve the right to apply charges to the customer to recover their reasonable costs in providing a loan projector where it is felt that those checks have not been realistically undertaken.
By requesting, installing and or using a loan projector, the customer agrees to be bound these conditions. Do not request, install or use of a loan projector if you do not want to be bound by these conditions.
