SANYO Air Conditioners is launching a new industry-wide training programme to equip engineers to install its new generation of carbon dioxide-based ECO heat pump heating systems.
The courses will be held initially at three centres across the country from April - at SANYO headquarters in Whyteleafe, South London, Oceanair Distribution in Bristol, and Easy Air Conditioning in Birmingham. Other training centres will follow.
The one-day programme includes hands-on experience of working with the new high performance, carbon dioxide refrigerant-based systems, designed to deliver low-cost heating and hot water in domestic and small commercial applications.
The course has been devised by well-known industry trainer Martin Hook along with key SANYO personnel. It highlights the important differences between carbon dioxide and HFC-based technology, demonstrates the applications and benefits of the CO2 ECO system, and covers design, installation and maintenance of air-to-water heat pumps.
Attendance on the course qualifies installers to apply for any government incentives for renewable technologies on the high efficiency products.
SANYO will be extending the programme over the coming year and hopes to add additional training centres in the North of England.
Graham Wright, who heads up SANYO’s new UK heating division, said: “The courses provide an excellent practical introduction to the technology, and cover everything needed to enable engineers to install and service the systems.
“It’s a great opportunity to get involved at an early stage with superb new technology that, in the not-too-distant future, will become mainstream.”
Those wishing to book onto the course can sign up on SANYO’s stand HF30.
