Eva Sistemas is SANYO Airconditioners Europe’s (SAE) Latvian distributor. The company has been working with SANYO for a number of years now and are particularly successful at marketing our VRF and Hydronic products in the Baltic State.
This summer, Eva Sistemas CEO Karlis Platacis embarked on a journey to conquer a lifelong dream. Mr. Platacis has been fond of mountaineering and his objective has been to reach the summit of Europe’s tallest mountain, Mt. Elbrus, which stands 5,642 metres tall in the Western Caucasus mountain range, near the border of Georgia.
Mr. Platacis embarked on his challenge on 20th August 2008. It took him 4 days to reach the top. With him was a flag of SANYO, which Mr. Platacis planned to exhibit upon reaching the summit.
In his own words:
“It was not easy, but I finally realized my dream to climb to the summit of Mt. Elbrus which stands at 5,642 metres (18,510 ft). Mt Elbrus is also called ‘Mingi Tau’ in the local language which means ‘Mountain of the Souls’ or ‘Mountain of Happiness’ and is considered to be the highest mountain in Europe!
