SANYO Airconditioners Europe (SAE) is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with the launch of ground-breaking sustainable solutions at Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (11-15 March 2008, Fiera Milano, Italy). On Stand C29 / E22, Hall 13, SANYO showcases its latest products developed in line with the company's 'Think GAIA' brand vision of environmental responsibility which commits the company to use global resources and skills to develop solutions for sustainable coexistence on Earth.
Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2008 saw SANYO take the lead in new environmental technologies with the official European launch of the ECO G Power co-generating VRF system and the CO2 ECO water heater. Unveiled at the show the revolutionary ECO G Power is a new gas driven VRF air conditioning system which supplies heating or cooling while co-generating hot water and electricity – a first to the European market. Meanwhile, the unveiling of the CO2 ECO water heater, marked another dramatic technological leap forward for the heating and air conditioning industry with the introduction of a CO2 air to water heat pump for domestic hot water and space heating.
"With global warming already affecting climate change, sustainability is a major issue for the air conditioning sector. The theme of our stand at Mostra Convegno Expocomfort derives from SANYO's brand vision which follows the concept of 'Think GAIA – For Life and the Earth'. Under this vision SANYO has committed to progressing this environmental focus and innovation to ensure that it becomes the leading provider of energy efficient and sustainable solutions." commented SANYO Airconditioners Europe’s president, Masafumi Yoda after the launch event.
"At SANYO Airconditioners Europe, we are experiencing exciting times since European air conditioning is key to the SANYO Group’s future growth, and we can look forward to further investment, expansion and product ranges. This is illustrated by a raft of ground-breaking sustainable solutions which will be launched in 2008 including the revolutionary ECO G Power GHP, a Gas Driven VRF Air Conditioning System which supplies heating and cooling while co-generating hot water and electricity which has been unveiled at Mostra today," added Masafumi Yoda.
SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS AT MOSTRA CONVEGNO EXPOCOMFORT 2008
SANYO is pioneering an exciting range of sustainable solutions at Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2008 including:
- ECO G POWER (Gas driven VRF with electrical power generator): SANYO’s ECO G Power is a World-first in air conditioning design supplying heating or cooling while co-generating both hot water and electrical power. Each ECO G Power unit has a 4.0kW generator which provides enough power to run 40 indoor air conditioning units or the equivalent of eight computers. This innovative technology also reduces CO2 emissions by up to 30%.
- K-TYPE WALL MOUNTED UNITS: Making its debut at Mostra Convegno Expocomfort will be the new K-Type wall-mounted range of room air conditioners. This good-looking, stylish new series of air conditioners features a discreet design that will harmonise with any interior design scheme. Offering energy-efficient heating and cooling, each unit is light-weight and compact for easy mounting and installation. Maximum end-user comfort is ensured in heating mode by the 'cold draft prevention' function.
- CO2 WATER HEATER: The emergence of CO2 air to water heat pumps, such as SANYO’s new CO2 ECO water heater, has resulted in the HVAC industry taking a dramatic technological leap forward and is set to overtake sales in ground source heat pumps in Europe following huge success in Japan. New to the UK this type of unit is particularly attractive because of its high COP, high water temperature and environmental refrigerant. For instance SANYO's CO2 ECO water heater can generate hot water up to 65 deg C at a COP of 3.75, making it highly efficient when compared with electric heaters which generally have a COP rating of 1.
SANYO Airconditioners Europe’s turnover grew by 46% in 2006 and is on course to grow by a further 25% in the current financial year. Masafumi Yoda, explained: "At SANYO Airconditioners Europe we have had a particularly successful year which is being translated into considerable investment in the company since it is seen as a key growth sector for SANYO. Our 'Think GAIA' brand vision is now showing results through a number of successful product ranges including solar cells with the world’s highest energy conversion rate, ready-to-use rechargeable batteries and extremely efficient air conditioning systems."
