The 30x optical zoom integrated into the Xacti WH1's housing captures subjects with brilliant quality allowing you to get closer to the action. Video sequences are recorded in high-resolution 720p quality and saved in MPEG-4 format, making it easy to upload your movies to You Tube or Facebook. A 16GB SD card is able to hold upwards of four hours of HD video. New battery technology enables up to three hours and 20 minutes of recording time, making the camera an ideal companion for longer excursions as well.
The Xacti WH1 is designed as a dual camera; The video and photo functions are so well-integrated that individual photos can be taken while a video recording is in progress without interrupting the video or manually changing settings in another menu. Digital Image Stabilization prevents blurry images from spoiling both your videos and your photos, while Face Recognition identifies up to 12 people in the frame and ensures that faces are automatically in sharp focus. Moreover, SANYO has equipped the new outdoor camera with 3D Digital Noise Reduction (DNR), which prevents image deterioration during processing. The Xacti WH1 is equally well equipped to handle action-packed sports photography. A lightning-quick sequential shot function stores up to 13 photos per second, comfortably capturing even the fastest motions.
In addition to its sleek design, the Xacti WH1 boasts an array of well-organised controls and professional components. A large 2.5˝ TFT display provides an excellent overview, even for complex screen layouts, ensuring that camera settings are clearly visible and easy to understand.
